I see that the kershaw warehouse sale is coming up the first weekend of December. Has anyone gone to their sales before? Is there anything there that would make it worth the trip?

I've been there the last few years, and I'd say heck yes. I have a full set of Shun kitchen knives that I might have paid 25 cents on the dollar, and it sure makes it easy to pick up $10-$20 christmas presents for most of the family. And there are always the fun, obscure, or pre-production singles that they clear out. 3 years ago they cleared out an entire case of RAMs that I wish I'd snagged more than one of. Last year I picked up 4 of the S35VN Links for $25 each and a whole slew of Elmax Leeks.

I go every year. It's fantastic. How I stocked my kitchen with Shuns. :D

It's spoken about on their Facebook page and web site, but not really advertised. It's always the week following Thanksgiving, starting on Dec. 1st this year.

You will find Kershaw knives of all descriptions, Shun and KAI kitchen knives and occasionally a few ZT knives. All for about 1/3 to 1/2 what you would normally pay retail. The best selection will be on Friday. The best deals often are late in the day Sunday, sometimes they will be slashing the prices even further then. Expect to wait in line 2 to 4 hours on Friday, before you get in. It will be very crowded, and some times the line for the checkout is almost as bad as the line to get in. Mostly it is just a lot of fun, but I have a hard time getting out of there without having spent several hundred dollars.

O.B.

I have not been to Kai's sale. Cold Steel in Ventura, Cali..yes.
Was not impressed with the CS "parking lot sale". I would love to do the Kershaw sale.

Thank you for all your input, everyone! Now, it will probably be a matter of getting time off, and if I have enough funds after all the black friday stuff!
