Evening folks,
I just wanted to tell a little story about a few knives.
I'm up in Canada and employed as a tactical officer for one of the larger police forces up here. My teams specialty is EOD/ CBRNE/ and HUSAR. For the folks not in the know that's Explosive Ordinance Disposal, Chemical,Biological,Radiological,Nuclear, Explosive, and Heavy Urban Search and Rescue. Our unit was formed in response to the events of 911. We also do all the usual like K-9, warrants, VIP ect.
Enough back ground.

Anyways our unit made a purchase of a bunch of Kershaw folders for use a few years ago for EDC/utility. After a couple of years the knives were showing their age and the tips had pretty much broken of all of them after much use. We called Kershaw and asked if they could regrind the knives for us and fix the liners ect. Kershaw advised us to ship them back to the factory and they would see what the could do.
A week later we got a bunch of brand new knives delivered, free of charge. That's a fine ****ing warranty, thanks for standing by your product and for your support. Sorry I don't know the type, BOA or something like that.

On a side note, my Father who is a retired Tac officer gave me a ZT 0100 and 0200 when I got on the team last year. These knives have been used heavily and I've only had to use a lansky fine hone to bring the edge back. Only once on the 0100 have I had to sharpen it. I don't know what kind of steel it is but it holds an edge for a ridiculous amount of time.
Good kit if you can afford it.
A nice feature is the sheath is Molle compatible and weaves in super tight to my L IV LBV unlike the Gerber LMF. Both a Little on the heavy side but the a built very tough.
Just wanted to pass this info, along thanks for reading
10-7 :)

I've corrected your enthusiastic warranty adjective, let's be a bit less descriptive in the future.

Thanks for the thread.

Good story about the great Kershaw warranty.
Too bad some people can't say more than a few words without dropping the F bomb all the time.

I understand his enthusiasm completely! I received my DAM today from one of the generous contests Thomas runs frequently.

All I have to say is Kershaw and Thomas and the bunch are the best ****ing knife people around!

Thanks again, GG! ;)

(and who really knows what **** means to me?)

If, as I suspect, 10-7 took part of his training with the Canadian Forces, you would understand. :D

Fookin right eh? :)

I am going to have to crack the seal and get the 0100...it intrigues me greatly, and I believe such a tool would be a phenomenal choice when the zombies attack.
