Hey,
Anyone know how to dis-assemble a Kershaw Whirlwind? It's the pesky back pin I'm trying to remove. I've tried a hammer and punch, as well as screwing it out, no luck so far. Any advice would be apreciated :) .

The pin or whatever you want to call it is threaded, and on one side you will see 2 slots for a screwdriver but it has to be the same width of blade to fit into the slot, and then it unscrews. I have taken mine apart a few time, once to replace the torsion bar after it had broken. Contacted Kershaw, and they sent a new one in the mail. Actually is a pretty simple knife to take apart but remember to have the blade open fully before you pull it apart, and blade open to put it back to gether or things go flying :D This goes for all the Kershaw spring assisted knives a far as taking them apart. But the Whirlwind is the only one that has that threaded pin where the lanyard hole would be.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advise, guys. Especially the part about the blade being open, Larry :D .

It sure looked more like a pin than a screw to me. Just got off a 14hr shift at work, so I'll try to finish taking it apart later...
