this is one of my favorite knives out of the many that i own. its simple, discreet, decent size, assisted. almost nobody mentions it ever, bit i find myself carrying it more than most of my other knives, and i have a lot that are much more expensive.

I ended up with two of them and never really took to them. The way the handle flexes in the hand puts me off. Great blade tho.

Great knife.I abused one for years. With a floor cleaning business i cut wire changing plugs, scraped floors and edges and many other nasty abuses not recommended for any knife.Always sharpened and cleaned up nice.It retired and put away someplace, but is still ready to rock.

I've had one for a few years and it has held up well...
I got mine second hand but it hadn't been used much. IIRC I payed 20.00 for it.

I took the plunge w/ 3 Kershaws a couple years ago and the Whirlwind was my least favorite. The blade is nice and I guess it's light but maybe it feels TOO light, there's something insubstantial about it. I find it tough to open and releasing the liner lock is a pain, so I seldom carry it. May mostly have to do with my specific knife, if the open/lock were better I might carry it more. To each their own, glad you are happy with it.
