Anybody got hold of this knife? I would like to know whether the blade is really made of damascus steel or it is only 'damascus-pattern' only? Thanks!

IIRC, and Thomas can jump in to correct me, Kershaw's damascus is Alabama Damascus.

It's true Alabama ladder damscus with ~416 layers IIRC.

SPECIFICATIONS:

The steel is made from the following:

(4) layers of 5160,

(3) layers of 52100,

(3) layers of 203E,

Steel is forged and folded 5 times for a total of 416 layers.

Steel: Ladder Pattern Carbon Damascus

I have a damscus Zing--I'm planning on putting some carbon fiber handles on it sometime.

Martini13, this is a picture from an online site.
