This is my 1st post and id like it to be about my edc knife and tell you guys who dont know about it a little about it.

Its a small knife similar to the kershaw skyline. In my opinion i think the zing is actually better then the skyline.
The zing a nice edc knife and it has a very smooth flipper and is non assisted.
The knife is small but feels nice in the hand and has good ergos.
The blade has odd looking milled out grooves in it witch dont seem to have any purpose except for a unique look. They do not interfere with cutting tasks.
Out of the box this knife wasnt very sharp (atleast mine wasnt) and i had to sharpen it, witch was fairly easy on my lansky delux sharpening system at a 20 degree angle and going through all the stones. Extra coarse, coarse, medium, fine, and extra fine ceramic. The knife now has a very nice edge. Shaves hair but doesnt pop it, and goes through cardboard and computer paper like butter.
The biggest pro of this con to me is that it is a usa made knife.
The knife price seems about average for a kershaw being between 35 and 40.
The closed blade lineup isnt perfect but it doesnt rub on the liners so its fine.
Overall i think it was a great knife and purchase and once i get a few other knives in that price range ill compare and contrast and see if it really is a great deal or not.

I re-handled mine in cocobolo as it makes a nice gents knife. If I wasn't carrying traditionals it would be getting equal pocket time with my smaller Spyderco Ambitious. The 14c28n blade steel on it is some neat stuff; it can take a hair whittling edge and cut data cable without dulling down too quickly.

The Zings are IMO pretty nifty knives and compare nicely to the Skyline, especially if you have a preferance towards smaller folders, also I feel that the grooved blade profile is pretty attractive and unique to Kershaw ( I can't recall anything similar offered by the competition ). If you dig the blade profile of the Zing but want something a tad larger the often overlooked Kershaw Groove may be more your style.

Sounds like another great Kershaw that I'll have to look into. Thanks for your comments SharpKind.
