begin july 1st, Indiana knife laws are changing. The ban on automatic knives will be lifted. What are some KAI autos current or past that aren't unattainable.

Breakouts pop up occasionally. The Rogue rarely, the ZTs also rarely. I've only seen one Auto Commander ever.
There are no current autos.

Yep, they're all out of production. A few years ago used ones could be had for less, but I don't know what they go for these days. I held onto my Auto Commander, which I got back in 09.

Jealous. That's not happening around my parts any time soon.

Pics then yeah?

The breakout is the only one that I have a chance of getting then huh. With texas and indiana now being legal I would think they might consider bringing a new auto out. That's about 2 million potential customers that just became available

Yeah. I been on the books for a while. It still illegal to have a knife with a blade that shoots out, and "Chinese throwing stars" lol. The same bill made it legal to hunt with a suppressor. :D

First time i have ever even heard of the auto commander was other day when one did pop up on here for sale and was gone in seconds.......still have never seen pic tho. i picked up a black breakout few weeks back and was suprised how hard it fired and light it was.

Also legal in Texas now. I've been looking for a Breakout for a while, seems to be rare. My preference is the red handle variety. I'm not sure what compels folks to sell 'em...

Lack of money
Lack of use/carry time
Legality
Don't want the knife sitting around collecting dust
Trade fodder for something more appealing to them
On and on.

I sold my Breakout about 2 weeks ago to a Texas resident. I parted with it because I wasn't carrying it or using it (even though that is legal where I live). I had the black handle/black blade version. It was a great auto, but I just wanted it to go to someone who'd appreciate it more. I have a hard time carrying or using an auto when the speedsafe action on my Blur is so amazing.

The previous autos were discontinued due to lack of production capacity as I remember, not because they didn't sell well enough. Also, in theory, even with new customers available, you'd have to buy them from a local dealer as federal laws still prevent shipping them across state lines to anyone other than authorized individuals and getting dealers to carry them could still be a tough proposition in those areas.

We have few knife dealers in indiana outside of large retailers. I would say nearly all of them would.
