Kershaw/ZT Customer Service - Thank You!!!

A while back I had a ZT0560 that chipped while cutting some materials. I sent it in for Jimmer to take a look at and get sharpened. It was gone for a few weeks, but when I got it back I noticed some things were different about the knife. It turns out they had accidentally shipped me the wrong knife (different serial number, detent/lockbar strength was different, etc). Functionally everything was fine, but I was a little bummed that I didn't receive my knife. I told Jim about the issue and he was shocked it had happened and more than willing to work with me on it.

Just wanted to say thank you very much to Jimmer and the rest of the crew at KAI. Keep up the excellent work and you guys will stay industry leaders for a long time!

Thats quite the story! I commend you for not accepting the free 560 offer and agreeing to an exchange. I know it must have been difficult to turn down! And it looks like jimmer paid it forward. You are a lucky dog! I would have passed out from the excitement of pulling her out of the package! Enjoy it man!
 
I guess ZT still wanted to give you some free stuff after all. :cool: unless you stole it, (which im sure you didn't..) a free knife is a win either way.. but much respect for being a gentleman about it! :thumbup: for Kershaw's top notch service!

Scott - Glad to hear you're happy with the replacement 0560. Sorry it took so long to get it off to you.

I hate being this way, but I need to say a few quick things. It is extremely rare that we mix up a knife in the warranty department as they have an excellent system of organization for the knives. I also dropped the ball a few times due to my busy schedule, hence my unusual response to Scott's situation.
 
Jimmer, I know you have to say that because of the people lurking around here that are not kershawaholics or zt nuts. But The majority of us who spend our time here on the kershaw /zt subforum Understand and know just how good your customer service is. And not only did you make it all good, you went above and beyond by making the offer you did and even when he declined you still found a way to make it better. Job well done. You and the ladies and gentleman at the factory over there need to give yourselves a pat on the back.
