hey all, while doing some routine maintenance the other night i noticed a few of my deep carry clips were swapable! Since I prefer the deep carry clips I'm stoked about the results:-) First off the deep carry ZT clip (0560) goes right on my 301. at first i wasn't sure if it would work, but after 2 days of EDC...its perfect. One screw goes in the clip, the other next to it...but the screwhead stabilizes the clip just fine:

This is a pretty universal clip setup for alot of ZT's...so think of the possibilities!

next up we have my Tremor, with a deep carry clip from my Cryo. the holes line up just fine:-)

Now I need to reach out to Kershaw & see if I can buy a few extra clips:-)

I can just see a rash of people calling up Kershaw saying their 560 and Knockout clips have broken...

I just bend my own with Ti, and they fit a lot of my Spydercos and Emersons too. No drilling and tapping needed on the knives either :)

I've just used a torch, vise, pliers, and a grinder to bend and shape them, and a drill with some good bits. To tweak them so that the same clips fit my ZTs and Spydercos, I use a dremel to elongate the holes.

Brilliant! I never would have come up with this. It doesn't help me with some lefty clip mods, but for that standard Skyline/ZT clip spacing, it's brilliant! Thank you so much!

This needs a bit of bending to get the tension, but what an improvement!

Edit: I just noticed...you're a DJ?

Id like a deep carry on my 0301, gooeytek, where does one acquire small amounts of Ti?

def an improvement...and yes, I spin DnB & Hip-Hop for nightclubs & events. Plus lots of rock & metal when Im at home:-) I collect knives & Vinyl:cool:

glad to help. there's also a slim, pre-bent, pre-drilled clip that readily fits Emersons and Benchmades, but if you elongate the holes to fit ZTs, it will also fit a lot of Spydercos that use the hourglass clip since the spacing on those come in between. For a lot of knives, it will be fine for tip-up but tip-down the bend is too long. This pic should help illustrate:

If used for tip-down on the ZT or Skyline for instance, the holes are too close to the end of the handle. It'll be really deep carry, not showing any part of the knife at all.

I should also add that you will need a driver that has a very thin profile like the Wiha that I have in the pic, to be able to set the torx screws in properly.

I'm actually pretty excited about the flat version, then I can make it just what I want. I've got some ideas already bouncing around :D

If I ever get around to buying a Knockout I'll have to see if I can locate a Tremor pocket clip to swap out, since I prefer regular clips to deep carry.

Actually I don't think you can get the pocket clips for the Chinese models from Kershaw. I asked if they could send me a washer for a Cryo that I'd lost and they said because they aren't made in the US I'd have to send the knife to them for replacement. So parts don't seem to be available.

If you ever get around to buying a knockout I have a Tremor that would love to be your knockouts clip swap partner.

Awesome find OP. Thank you for the information and pictures. I might try my 0560 clip on my 0301 now.
