I have 5 of the Kershaw 1597 they all have the metal handle rather slippery and hard to control any suggestions. This post is in 2018 some years after production but I think the knife blade was a new process at the time and Kershaw decided to run some as limited editions since it did win knife of the year for 2005. Not sure this is correct but the process was not cost efficient.

If your question is about improving the grip of the handles, try an adhesive grip tape like GT-5000 grip tape (guntape). It's pretty inexpensive and you can cut it to whatever shape you might need.
