I know they'll both get pretty sharp and resist corrosion about the same, but how about edge retention? Kershaw's AUS-8A is heat treated to 57-59; Sandvik 12C27 is heat treated to 56-58.

to be honest I think Mora's 12c27n is a more reliable steel for edge retention and ease of sharpening.

I thought Kershaw's standard steel is now Sandvic 14c28n. It's good stuff, and holds an edge very well.

depends on what series of Kershaw your lookin at. but generally yes. they did however have what looked to be a scandi ground puukko in Aus 8 last yr. never heard anything about it except what was on their website. but based on their price vs what you can get in a mora, the mora would win everytime.
