Is there any advantage to having a Damascus blade vs the 14c28N? I am speaking about the skyline in particular. Is there an improved performance?

Kershaws Damascus vs their 14C28N?

I remember reading that the Alabama Damascus that Kershaw used for those Skylines, among others, has similar edge holding and cutting performance as VG-10.
The Alabama Damascus does perform better than 14C28N, but you need to keep oil on it and or take good care of it. Its mainly for looks as stated above, but it is definitely an upgrade all around, except in stain resistance.
