At the local "big box store" I picked up a Kerhaw LeeK for $24.97 + tax. I think they are no longer going to carry knives for some odd reason. Also picked up a Kershaw Tanto Blur for $34.99 + tax.

What are the dates on them? Could be moving old stock or as you said, not carrying knives any longer.
Tanto Blur is in the top 2 (I'm pretty sure about that) sellers at Wallyworld.

I saw those yesterday. If only that was available with a S30V blade and PE. I'd clean out the store ;)

Thats a really good price on them. I'm going to go check them out tomorrow to see if our store has them at that price.

S30V Blurs are some of the best. They made a light grey tanto style in plain, but not S30V though.
Some of my babies.

I'm really liking the various Kershaw variants these days. I'm having a tough time getting used to the recurve though. That is why I appreciate the Leek design so much, a tanto is a win-win for me ;)

the blur is a great knife, recurve regardless. i really like my CPM 154 version :D

The recurve on the Blur is so tiny I don't even notice it, nothing like a Spec Bump. :D
Using a round ceramic rod or Charlie's wheels has let me be able to sharpen anything.
I just adapt and go on.

I wonder about the good old "mouse and sandpaper and dowel rod trick" being effective. The Spyker has a wickedly curvy recurve too (awesome collab though). If I had to sharpen a Spec Bump, I'd probably have to just send it to one of the guys here to touch up.
