Here is one of my "Kestrel" models in Mammoth Tooth, nickel silver bolsters and contrasting brass hardware. I thought the two metals contrasted nicely - kind of matching the contrast in the tooth material. It is set it up as a desk/display piece without a sheath. It's on it's way to its new owner but I thought some of you might like to see it. The tooth material on the knife is of course stabilized but the two pieces on the display are not.

On the custom walnut stand with maple and purpleheart inlay and alder feet - not the greatest pic as my setup is more in tune with single knives and not larger shots. I'd like to think I'm better with steel than I am with a camera. ;)

Thanks for looking and stop by my web site if you'd like to see some of my other work. God Bless.

Do you have any photos of the knife taken directly from the side? That is the perspective that gives the best view of what the knife looks like.

I was thinking that view would be nice to see also.

Great looking mammoth tooth. Nice colors. The walnut stand is very nice too. Did you craft it?

Thanks guys. Here is an unedited side shot. As Arizona Kidd said above, it can be a real *&%%$! to take a shot of a very shiny blade and lighting this one really took me to task.

Peter regarding the stand, a friend of my owns Flatirons Displays here in Colorado and he primarily makes display stands, wall displays, etc. He's just getting started and he made this one for me. I did the minor embelishment of adding the pin (woo hoo!) but he did all the inlay, etc. If anyone would be interested in this type of display, let me know and I'll put you in contact with him.
