Kevin Wilkins knives...

I wish I could tell you, but the only knife I have of his is a small fixed blade, a Thorn. Obviously easier to make than a folder, but certainly great design and excellent quality.

I keep switching off between DMknives and Wilkins and Airkat, and Sebanza, though I still have my Strider SMF, I need a final "tough" folder. I've heard myself say final and last fill in the blank before.

I know, I know ... Sebenza, Ralph, Strider, ... have you looked at Rick Hinderer's work? :D

I'm a research fanatic. I must perform my due dilligence to satisfy myself before buying.

I never handled the Ghost Dog but a couple of other folders and one fixed blade. They all belonged to someone else, so no field trials!!

First class materials and build. I waiting for him to perfect his slip joint! :D

Kevin's folders look brilliant and in my experience he is a very nice guy, although he is looking a little shaggy in those new pictures. Son, don't forget where you come from. :D

I just "discovered" these and they look beautiful and appear to have high quality. Anyone familiar with these knives and the "ghost Dog" model in particular?

I've handled several of his knives, and IMO they're excellent quality. Very good design and *very* solid build. Kevin pays incredible attention to detail, and all the knives I've seen had a perfect finish. Much better than most other custom or semi-custom knives I've seen yet.

Haven't seen any in person, but I've been watching Kevin's work for 5+ years and I love it. He and Jens Ansø are my favorite folder makers. Very cool, very original, but not quite weird enough to be un-useful or "fantasy." Me likey! :D
