Several years ago, my Sister gave me a kevlar glove for Christmas. She knows I like sharp knives, and she knows I am kind of clumsy, so I suppose she was kind of worried about me!
Anyway, even though I am calling it "kevlar" I really don't remember what it is made of, as the package has long since been thrown away.
I don't recall, and couldn't find anything in "search" about anyone else here using these gloves. I have recently been wondering if the thing will actually work as advertised if I should ever slip while cleaning fish or critters.
I realize that with proper "knife technique" that no such safety glove would be necessary, but thats why they call them "accidents."
If nothing else, it does make it a lot easier to hang on to a slippery fish, or bloody carcass.
Anyone else here ever use one of these gloves?
(they come one to a package, usually a left handed one, since a right handed person will have the knife in his right hand and if a slip happens, he will cut his left hand.)
