I've had a Falkniven S1 for about a year but haven't used it much because the handle is smaller than I like. I thought wrapping the handle was a good idea but wanted something with a small diameter to keep the contours and not add alot of bulk. The kevlar thread is thin and VERY strong. Tensile strength is 400,000 lbs/sq. in. and has a tensile modulus of eighteen million lb/sq. in.= it does not stretch. I did two wraps and tied it off in the lanyard hole and then did a single wrap. That way if I need to use some in the field I don't have to unwrap the entire handle. Plus it's a yellowish color and easy to find when you set it down. The thread is made by K&S Engineering stock #801 and can be had at most model hobby shops. Cost is $2.50 for a spool of about 50 ft. that will also work with a leather sewing awl adding to the usefulness. Should be very handy stuff.
