Key chain spare battery carriers?

Hey guys, I want a convenient way to carry a spare AAA battery on my key chain.

I have this idea of using paracord to wrap it up but no idea how to start.

Something I can buy would be ideal too.

I've seen little pill bottle keychains at the drugstore. They have a waterproof seal, and might be the right size. Not as cool as a paracord wrapped DIY project, though.

Found a nice pill fob on ebay that will become my battery fob. Thanks for the suggestion, tried to make one with paracord and got annoyed and stopped.

You can find a delrin AAA battery tube on Survival Shop - EDC or Countycomm. The top of the cap will be able to accept a split ring attachment (if large enough) and it has an o-ring for a watertight seal.

Just carry an extra single AAA twisty flashlight. It will protect your spare battery from the elements and also give you a spare light.

countrycomm is so expensive! Tax + shipping costs more than the product alone. I can drive to where they are but not allowed to buy stuff, lame.

This is the inevitable conclusion I cam to. I carry a Fenix E01 as my pocket light. Love it. Good enough light, and really long run time so in an emergency I don't have to worry about a two hour run time. I was carrying a spare AAA in a Bison aluminum capsule. Then I had the light bulb go on over my head. A big epiphany. The spare E01 is only a very marginal bit bigger, and the Bison capsule that carried the spare battery brougt it up to size. So I just put one E01 on the keyring as a spare light, and carried the other as my edc light to be used, in my pocket. That way, if the light went south for mechanical reasons, I still had a E1 right there.

Now I've been carrying the two E01's for about two yeas now. I like the system. When you get inot lights that small, it's easy to just carry a spare.

Actually, that makes a lot more sense, guess I'll have to get myself another key chain light, currently have a Maglite Solitaire, have been checking out the Olight i3s quite a bit.

The other question is, do you really want to dig around for a battery and then replace it in your flashlight.....in the dark?

If I'm dressed I have two EO1s with me.
