What kind of tools or gadgets other than just knives do you carry on your keychain or pockets? These days people carry all kinds of things for purpose or just because they like it, some are very useful and others not so much.

What do you carry?

I've got a tool-ring on my keys that holds a Titanium Innovations light - barely longer and thicker than a AA battery - Uncle Bills Sliver Grippers, a safety pin, and a Spyderco Bug. Its a small enough kit to not get in the way, but it comes in handy for all sorts of stuff.

I carry a mini Bic, a mini Buck and a Maratac AAA on my keys. Small kydex carriers make it easy to use the items and return them when done. I've never had one fall out accidentally.

I'll try to post a better pic shortly.

Currently on my keyring I have my keys, a Pickpocket Alpha bottle opener/key dangler, and a Victorinox Classic. In the past I've carried a Prometheus Beta QR flashlight, but I now carry a separate flashlight (Olight S Mini) and don't feel the need to have a "backup." I used to carry other gadgets, too, but I took them off after realizing I never used them. Other people may have more need for things like pry tools, box wrenches, etc. but I don't.

The SAK Classic might be the most underrated EDC item of all time. The nail file/cleaner is great at its main purpose and also a very competent small flathead/2D Philips driver. Those little scissors punch way above their size. The small blade is better for more delicate work than my folder. And the toothpick and tweezers are incredibly handy. All my other EDC gear is fun, but my Classic gets used more than anything else.

That EDC ring is awesome. i need one, any chance you could let me know where u got it?

They are cheap and easily available on the 'bay - just search for 'pocket tools' and they'll pop up. Cheap as chips.

I have to agree with mbp on the Vic classic! I rarely go a day without using one of the tools or blade on this little gem. The screw driver tip fits all those little phillips screw that seem to hold the whole world together these days. Other tools I carry in the zipper compartment of my wallet. A Sear's 4 way keychain screw driver and my old P-38 from my army days. These handle most screws I need, and opening of cans or putty/varnish cans. They are so flat and light they go un-noticed in my wallet, even through TSA security. The Fenix E01 is used every night as well. I never go without my keyring and wallet, so I always have stuff available.

Gerber Shard and Streamlight Nano for me

I'm a little behind on the whole key ring gadget thing. I've tried a lot of them and...meh. My first was an Atwood Prybaby which I carried for a couple of years before I lost it. Then I carried a Countycomm mini pry bar, but it was too big on my key chain. Next was a Gerber Artifact which was downright dangerous until I took the blade out. I went without one until I found a Gerber Shard in the Walmart parking lot a year or so ago. Still not convinced. I don't open that many bottles, I don't pry too many things (and could never get enough leverage with these tiny tools anyway) and the "screwdrivers" on all of these things universally stink. Many may find them useful but they won't be cluttering up my key ring anytime soon.

Had a small Vic SAK on my key ring (one of them) for a while until I got a Leatherman Squirt PS4. That one took and it has been on my key ring for over a year now. I normally carry a Vic SAK, so the tiny SAK was a solution to a non-existent problem. Bought one of the pink Leatherman's on sale last year and my wife grabbed that one. Have no idea if she uses it.
