Howdy BF.

Just curious on your thoughts on one piece multi tools. Personally, I am drawn to them but don't find them necessarily overly useful. I guess I like the idea of having one more than my need for actually using them.

That said, the TT Chopper and Gerber Shard live on my keychain. I also carried a Leatherman Brewzer but gave it to a buddy. He was thrilled to get it.

I've opened boxes with the TT, opened beer with the Shard and that is pretty much it.

Recently added a prybar from County Comm. Haven't used it for a single thing, but I imagine it would be hell on a beer can tab.

So, what are your thoughts on these gadgets? Any other folks addicted to one piece multi tools? Is there one that anyone finds one particularly useful that I don't have?

The only only one piece multi function tool I like is the Victorinox quatro screwdriver out of my old broken Swiss card light. Its always hanging around my neck and comes in handy often.
If the countycomm picco prybar was available in stores I'd want one, but I don't order things online.

I'm not into all of the other one piece multitools because they always have a bottle opener cut into them ( not folding away or serving multiple uses like on a Leatherman or Vic ) and not everybody drinks or needs the bottle opener.
I also haven't seen any I really liked enough to buy anyways.

I carry a Gerber Shard. It get used occasionally. For the little amount of space that it takes up on your keychain, in your pocket, it sometimes come in handy.

I can't say you need a Pico... but if you ever start shopping online, this might be good place to start.

I like to keep my keychain as small as possible, right now it's limited to two keys. I sometimes add something like a Vic Classic, a Wenger Pocket Tool Chest (my favourite keychain SAK) or a Leatherman Style.

Since I always have a full size multitool in my backpack, plus a SAK and a knife in my pockets, I don't have much use for one piece keychain tools.

I love my Gerber Artifiact; its a pry tool, bottle opener, screwdriver with a folding X-Acto blade.

I have an Atwood, has a bunch of functions but it primarily serves as a bottle opener. Sometimes as a screwdriver.

I would probably carry a leatherman squirt, but I’m often passing through security.

I used to keep a Gerber Curve in my key chain. Mostly used the knife, bottle opener, and screwdriver (mostly to open paint cans). Used it more often than I thought. I recently switched to a LM Squirt. Mostly use the wire cutters (for zip ties especially), pliers, scissors, and small screwdriver (and occasionally the bottle opener, but it's not a nice as the Gerber). Now, I feel naked without it.
