Key ring hole removal?

Hey guys. I've been carrying my SAK Cadet exclusively the past couple of days. It's a very handy, minimalist type pocketknife that's been doing all the jobs I've asked it to do, and has pushed all the other knives out of my pocket, and even my beloved Leatherman off my belt a few times. However, one thing I noticed was whenever I was using the small screwdriver on the can opener, the key ring holder kept stabbing me in the hand. It just kept happening too often, so I went and removed it. I cut it off with wire cutters and took a diamond file to it, file it down so it's nice and smooth. Now it is absolutely P-E-R-F-E-C-T!!! Anyone else do this to their SAKs?

Yep. Done it to a Recruit, and that's the only that has needed it. For some reason, the one on my Farmer stays in a crease in my palm and is away.

I prefered to swap the keyring with the smaller size from my classic. This keeps a keyring, but it is out of the way and about the same width as the cadet's handle, so it can ride in my back pocket more easily. I also put the standard size ring on my classic which makes it easier to remove or replace on the little clip I use to carry it with my keys.

Been known to grind them down my self. I guess I am just prejudice against stuff on a handle that messes with my hands and a knife handle (including those derned pocket clips. ) :D.
