Ok, so i've come across a dilemma, i want to buy a SAK for my keychain, but can't decide between the midnite minichamp, and the classic sd alox!!! The a lox is thinner, but has less tools, and the mini has way more tools, but has the plastic scales and is a bit thicker.....opinions please? And maybe pics of keychains w/ em if possible??? Thanks very much in advance!

I'd suggest the Manager. I have several of the Classics including an alox. I don't have the midnite minichamp. The manager is probably twice as thick as the alox classic while it looks like the minichamp is closer to 3 times. The manager to me is the happy medium of tools (knife, scissors, bottle opener/phillips, nail file/flat tip) as well as the handle tools. Having the tweezers on the cellidor models is actually very useful. I never use the toothpick but sometimes need the pen. The Minichamp looks like it has extra tools I'd never use and the alox classic doesn't have the tweezers and pen which can be useful.

Edit: One other plus on the Manager is that the scissors AND knife pivot away from your keys making both very easy to use. On the classics, the knife pivots towards your keys which makes it harder to use.

Here's a crappy pic I took a while ago of my keys. As you can see, I carry a separate AAA light so don't need the one on the SAK. I also like using the S-biners to make it easy to remove the knife/usb drive.

The Alox Minichamp is nice but I carry a regular red one with the pen in it.
I could make do with a normal Classic but the Minichamp is a tad more handy and not much bigger.

Get the tools you want. This knife is small enough that the slight variation in size are not all that noticeable. I'm happy with the good ol' Classic.

I've got 3 Midnight Minichamps and one of the early Alox MiniChamps that SwissBianco was having made my Victorinox. You can now get the Alox versions from Victorinox directly I understand. I'd give that a go, they're a lot thinner than the regular cellidor scaled versions but you lose the pen and red LED flashlight.

I do not have the Alox version.. only the normal Classic SD, I used to have the Minichamp but gave it away, because honestly, I never used all the tools on it, the classic was all I needed, not only that but it's cheaper and slimmer/lighter. Here it is next to my Cadet, both come in handy all the time. I know it's not a SAK, but may I suggest to you the Leatherman Micra? My favorite keychain multi

The micra is 2 ounces, the Classic is .75 ounces, not sure about the Alox but I assume it's lighter
