I am looking for a small lighter to lock onto my keychain with all of the other various and sundry crap that I do. What are my options? I have seen the Peanut lightesrs, but am curious to see if there is anything else out there worth trying out. It would be a real plus if it wasn't ridiculously expensive as well. Any suggestions?

Thanks y'all

For a keychain the peanut is the way to go. Attach the split ring directly to the cap. The price is right. Depending on how often you use them they are fairly durable. Pick up two or three just in case.

Not convinced on the peanut lighters. I've actually got one somewhere or other but here's the thing, somehow stuff gets unscrewed all the time in my pockets. I've lost more stuff that way... I thought about a flint and steel for the same problem but most of those are rather bulky. Other thoughts? Good thread starter!

I had some Kydex mini-Bic holders made up a few years ago for this very purpose. Very handy, and popular as gifts. Sorry, I have no pictures to share at the moment, but it shouldn't be too difficult to come up with a simple friction-fit design. Cheers

You can pop in the little slots on the metal part of a Bic lighter and put a small split ring or other attatchment through it, up through the flame hole. -Cheap, but effective.

I saw somewhere on here where someone made a little loop of paracord on the bottom of a mini-bic. Just cut a 1.5 inch piece of paracord, glue each end to opposite sides of the lighter at the bottom, let dry, and wrap in electrical tape. Use a small rubber band around the top to prevent accidental discharge!
