Any recommendaions? Preferably, something cheap or rechargeble.
I tried to make one by attaching clip to Bic lighter using scotch (what if I need scotch in survival situation), but it did not work out well - it looked ugly and one day I lost the lighter but clip remained on the chain...
Regards,

Afternoon,

This might not be what your looking for but check out the Boyscouts of America website, in the supply section.

It's not a lighter, but its a pretty tough little flint firestarter that's got a key chain hole in it.

It's under 3 inches long, and not a half an inch wide at the widest part of the grip.

Forgive me but I don't remember what it is called, but they are only about $2 each.

I have several of them.

Click on the link below for a look at a caribiner lighter, I can't attest to the quality but it's a neat lookin' lighter, better than tapin' a BIC to your keys. ;)

I use a BSA Hot Spark. I believe that's what Barrabas is referring to. They're just a small ferro rod. I have them with my knives and on my key rings. Mac

I use a small SAK rip off with a lighter built in.. perfect for a key chain..

the one I own looks to be higher quality, has a blade, scissors and a file along with the tweezers and toothpick.

Is it not too easy to lose the lighter from such a sheath? Today, I realised I lost my Silva compass on keychain even though it was on carbine. It is good I know where to buy another one.

go to the Bic lighter website. they have a new sporty model in Orange trim that has a springloaded cover and a lanyard hole. you fill it by slipping in a MINi bic and it gives you more grip to light it.

That new BIC holder is metal and quite heavy and bulky.
