Well, unfortunately I recently lost my keychain. The keys arent a big deal but I had some gadgets on there that I'm really bummed about; like my photon 2 light and my sak. But those are replacable. I'm really pissed that I lost the best dang keychain screwdriver I ever saw. It was basically a flat piece of stamped metal with different shaped protrusions off the edges which worked extremely well for all types of slotted and phillips head screws. It was made by stanley and looked like something in the $0.99 bin near a checkout lane. But I've never seen it anywhere in stores or online.

Does anybody have any leads on where to find another driver like this? It was such a great tool, I'm more pissed about loosing that chepa little thing that the sak and light together!

You can get the same thing from Sears in the craftsmen tool section. I bought a couple more recently to give out with the sak classics I hand out sometimes. I think they were like .99 cents apiece. They were in a box near the register. If your Sears near you dosen't have them let me know and I'll send you one.

Sounds like your keychain is like mine-mini gadjet collection.

and so it begins . . . soon you'll be haunting Peter Atwood's site to jump on his latest creations. Why spend $.99 for a screwdriver when you can spend $66.00 on a bottlebug? LOVE mine!! http://www.atwoodknives.com/

Yeah, that bottle bug is pretty cool. Maybe not $60+ cool, IMHO ;)

So ya say they had them out at Sears, I'll have to swing in there maybe!

You should get a couple of them. They are unbelivably handy on all sorts of slotted and phillips screws, and when used right they will uncap an imported beer bottle almost as well as a Bic lighter.

Jackknife- that Sears tool looks awsome. I'll have to check the Sears Hardware Outlet next time I'm by there. I'm going to give a couple of those as stocking stuffers this Christmas, and get one for myself!

This is what I use, lightweight, inexpensive, and best of all, the edge tapers from thick to thin for excellent purchase against the screw head:

I also have an Atwood Xtra Leverage Prybaby, but the Lee Valley pocket screwdrive does all screwdriver duty.

I saw them in a catalogue, but they lack the protusions that let the sears one handle different phillips screws. Good design, just not as versitile.

Back inth '70s Remington used to make those from their powder metal division.I've seen Colt logo ones too. Must be something suitable out there.

I really likd that stanley, I'm just going to keep my eye open for another one... In the mean time my vic. manager should suffice. But man, that stanley was a great design, much better thanteh craftman ones i've seen.

I have the craftsman version of this tool. Love it even though I rarely use it. What I would love to see is one of these with an integrated spark plug gapper. Anyone ever seen one like that?

Take care,

Andy
