had to give it a shot but since i like to keep kitchen knife handles light i did the piece in all woods
the nakiri is built with 3/32 thick XHP stainless steel and is fully flat ground with a lightly conved edge to help keep food from sticking
the edge is 7.5 inch long and is 2.25 inch tall at the heel
over all length is jsut under 14 inchs
the handle is "keyholed" bog oak and redwood burl with copper fittings

as always all feedback is welcome and thanks for looking

Beautiful Nakiri Butch.
Now everyone will want a keyhole wa handle on their kitchen knives.
The redwood and bog oak go together great and the copper fittings really add a touch of class.
Great Knife!

Nice nakiri! Beautifully constructed. I use a Nakiri all the time in the kitchen. I think they are growing in popularity.
