finally gets some woods time.
I received my SYKCO 1311 this week & had to go try it out along with some of my other choppers and of course the Camper had to go along for some fun.
The poor camper has been languishing in my chopper drawer since getting it & I finally got to take it out for some quality time...now it's a happy camper.:)
It may have the shortest blade of the choppers,a mere 9" ;) but it held it's own in the chopping & battoning department.
(besides..it's not the size that counts, but how you use it.)
I love the 2 tone cocobolo over the brown micarta.
Not to mention the killer convex edge.
The thinner blades(all three of the others)had a tendency to get stuck, but not the happy camper, didn't get stuck once.

It was just a day trip, but damn it was good to get out in the woods & do some chopping.

Thanks for another great knife Chris, the Camper rocks!

Good to see it getting soke use Mykel! Funny you should post this, Bryan and I were just talking about doing another run of camp knives. He wants to make a baldric style sheath and the Camper seems like a good knife for it.

Personally I'd prefer 3/16" or 7/32". 1/4" seems excessive for a "camp" style knife. That leans towards chopping territory, which weighs a lot. In my mind, a "camp" style knife is still compact and weight conscious enough to hike with yet versatile enough to chop with if need be.

Mykel, loved that two tone handle when Chris first posted it, still digging it today . . .
Looks like an excellent place to be in the summer with a campfire, tent, and a fly rod . . . ;)
Excellent pics buddy, thanks for sharing with us.
Be safe.
