Got my first KFU at work today & I gotta say... wow!
It's hard to believe Cris has only been making knives since March.
I can't find anything wrong with it,the f&f are great.
Even grinds, super sharp mirror polished edge, comfy handle, beautiful scales & a great sheath to boot.
I took it out back of the shop & carved a fuzz stick to see how it would perform & to see how comfy it was in hand.
I tought I had a misch rod in my tool box,but couldn't find it,so sorry,no fire pic.
The spine is nice & sharp edged, perfect for striking a ferro rod.
It's a great carver & very comfortable in use.:thumbup::thumbup:

Check out the great Mahogany Crotch scales.

And the great pocket sheath too.

Here it is posing on the main component of the ice machines I build, the rotor.

And the rotor waiting to be dropped into the ice maker.

I gotta say I got a great deal on a great knife & sheath.
Thank you Cris!!

Cool pics Mykel! I really like those scales too, it was the first time Ive used Mahogany. Really cool color on them. Thanks for the purchase and the kind words.

You really can't appreciate his knives until you get them in your hand. I am so happy with that funky little EDC that I snagged. It has become my favorite EDC blade. Your thumb just sticks on that slight hump on the spine of the blade. Love this thing!! Just sitting at my desk with a friend.

Wow, thanks LIL. Love the lanyard and bead, you have an eye for aesthetics my friend!

By the time KFU is my age, these early knives of his will have a Cult following!
And he'll live less than a mile from Bill Akers, his mentor.

Mykel, great shots of the knife, looks like it will do just fine outdoors in Mother Nature's backyard . . . . Seems as if the blade will work for fine cutting like that fuzz stick and other small chores you might need it for.
Great looking combo with the sheath, congrats on picking up a great knife . . . . .
Be safe.
p.s.: Kudos on breaking the 1,000 post count as well, they sure do fly by when you are having fun don't they . . . . . ;)

Thanks,didn't realise I went over 1000.
I'll have to do a giveaway over on WSS I think.
Just gotta decide which knife to part with.
It won't be my KFU thats for sure!

Gnarly, I think both he & BA already have that cult following . . . . have all of you noticed the new names of members that are showing up on the forum more and more in the last couple of weeks . . . . .
Kool-Aid anyone ??? . . . . . ;)
Be safe.

SHHHHH!

I'm worried that prices just went up!

which is just, and fair....but means: I can afford LESS knives, daymit.

saw the other threads sayin you're goin on hiatus as far as the smaller blades go...those 4-inch handled nessies (and that edc) look good. any idea when you'd be producing some again? would it be possible to get a lanyard hole in something that size?

Hiatus, meatus, is what I say, beestockk!

Truth be known: the Law of Supply & Demand has caught up with both KFU & BA.

We're gonna be Demanding all they can Supply!

It's already getting to be: Take a number, and wait in line.

And to BA, KFU & all the Heathenous KnifeVultures here:

I usually refrain from saying: 'I toldja so'.....but....

"I TOLDJA SO,DAMMIT!"

Beestokk, I will be making more smaller blades in the near future. I just have about 10 larger knives that I need to make first.

Gnarly, you are dead right! Time is my enemy but I am trying to not overpromise on time frames. Im still able to take an order and get it produced in a reasonable amount of time.

I meant no criticism,brotherMan!

Just an observation, and even some carpe' tunnel, from patting myself on the back, and my self-congratulations for being right....You and BA are kicking some serious world-class ass....and we're cheering you on from the sidelines!
