Congrats on your score.

I won't speak for the others, everyone has different tastes.

Deer seems to vary quite a bit depending on location (diet really is the issue). The deer I've eaten from Michigan were pretty wild. They eat a lot of acorns and who knows what else We tend to turn them into sausage and kielbasa and the like. On the other hand, the deer we shoot in Ohio feed on corn and soy beans year round. They really don't taste any different from beef. A lot of people ate deer at our house growing up without ever knowing.

Back straps dredged in flour and pan fried in butter are the best part of hunting!

I cooked up some backstrap tonight... it was amazing. Congrats on the clean kill... looks like tender meat!

Jeff

Good job bro (quick, humane)!

Let two does walk at 10 yards opening week, last week full moon so night feeding ruled.

Hope to get out again before FA opens and "the world" shows up.

What BH are you using? What a wound channel!

I'm with Jeff. Last two weekends I was hunting phesants training my 14 month old Brittany. Yesterday took my daughter on her first squirrel hunt. Not a great squirrel woods and nothing showed up so when we got bored we whittled sticks and still had a great time. Might have to hunt deer next weekend.

Good job Trevor!
