Trying to get them down to a size they will post at.
There's only 3 I think that has any people in them so would y'all like to see any khukuri and knife pix besides these? :p  :D

Trying for #3.:)

I'm gonna put #3 in a new thread to try and save loading time.

Ahh, look at that table. Beer, khukuries, and grub; what more can anyone ask for? (hey, before you go there - fair warning - this is a family oriented site)

:p  :p

Yvsa, Those are some really cool pixs. :) Wish I could have been there. Oh well, next time. :D

N2S, There isn't much more that I can think of.

Nifty stuff there. In the last picture, what's that paddle-like thingumy in the middle? And the curved knives at the bottom?

Rust the paddle like thingumy is an African Seme(sp?) Sword. Fedrico has a link on his website to another fellow that has one on his website.:)

The curved knives at the bottom are Morrocan Daggers. Both are brass inlayed in the blade with chipped carved wood handles. Regretfully the longest knife's scabard was busted off when I bought it.

Yvsa, what is the knife(sword?) with the "S" guard? Sort of reminds me of a bolo.

The "paddle-like" thing is a masai sword. The two knives on the bottom look like Flyssa swords from Morocco.

The short sword with the "s" guard is an Argentinian model 1909 machete sidearm - Made in Germany by Kirschbaum.

Heber it's an Argentine Tankers Short Sword made in Germany for the Argentine Government in South America in 1909 , the year my mom was born and just 2 years after Oklahoma became a state.:)
And Geronimo was still alive and well although he was still imprisoned at the jail in Ft.Sill Oklahoma where he lived the last years of his life with his wife and kids.
I forget at the moment the year Geronimo walked West, think it was around 1925 though.
Just goes to show you that the so called ndn wars wasn't really all that long ago to us ndns.:(

N2S really knows his old blades.:D

Good pix, Bro. We just didn't take enough of them. 10 people or more maybe we missed but somebody managed to capture Uncle Bill guarding the Heineken with 150 khukuris, guns, and other assorted knives and weapons.

Thanks for the History lesson :) BTW: What are the specs?

Bro maybe they are as camera shy as I am.;) I'm really pretty bad at getting my pic taken and especially at powwows when people don't bother to ask.

It does look like someone got just the top of your head in that one pic though. Just be glad no one got your pic after the 10 Heinekens.:p   :D

Heber I will try to remember to get the specs for you tomorrow, if I don't just ask me again and I will go try and dig it out of the safe.:)

Thanks for the pix Yvsa. Are those scabbards by Sandi? It may be time to send Terry another package.

Blade length: 375mm
Overall length: 570mm
Crossguard: steel
Pommel: steel
Handle stabs: smooth hardwood, held in place by two bolts

Markings: Right side (blade) - Coat of arms-
Argentina / "modelo 1909"
Left side (blade) - Serial number

Variants: There was a version manufactured locally in
Argentina by Indutrias C. Suarez. It is cruder in
form and finish.

Replaces: The heavier alloyed handled model 1898 machete
sidearm - very impressive machete if you can find
one.

Thanks for good stuff.

Actually, they should have gotten my pix after 15 Heinekens. The more I drink the younger and more handsome I become -- hadn't you noticed?
