Khuk I.D. is a "Major Payne"

I watched a film I hadn't seen for a while and, lo and behold, Damon wayans is playing opposite a nice Khukuri (although he needs to look at the safety thread

) The film was, of course, Major Payne. Surely some of the fellow forumites have seen this and can ID the Khuk. Did Uncle supply the real deal to the film company? It looked like it had a brown scabbard with a military style frog, wood handle, and brass buttcap

It's not too common to see our favorite blade appearing on the big screen, and ,if you haven't seen the movie, it's funny enough to merit a look even if it did lack a Khuk. Let me know your best guess!

I don't believe it was one of Uncle's khuks. It looked like one of the "Assam Rifles" Kukris that U.S. Calvary used to offer.

Yet another movie that continues to amuse me. I THINK that the scabbard in the background was one of those "all purpose" kinds that as numerous tools in it besides just the Karda and Chakma. For another comedy flick with a kukhri watch the second Austin Powers movie. In it the eveil assassin Mustafa (complete with fez and dyed face to look Turkish or atleast of Eastern decent.) Tries to take a few swipes at Mike Myers with a kukhri before it is shot out of his hands.
 
Thanks "Q" Shame on me for not noticing that as many times as I've seen the second Austin powers flick. Are there any other appearances of our favorite blade type in films of note?

Yes, Uncle, I've seen it several times, but I can't recall a Khuk in it. Do you remember where the best supporting Khukuri appeared in the film ( Oscar worthy, no doubt!)? I must confess, there were other things

in the film which distracted my attention from Khuk watching as I should have been. Forgive me fellow forumites !

Hay'guys's,H.A.M. here,sorry I've been away for awile,been working to much,but went on to nite and saw this thread, and ran down to the vidio store and rented Major Pain!!.not oscer material,but still funney....LOL,did'ent know you could use a kurk.to read!! and my favoret line from the movie(...There"s got to be some folks that need some kill'in!!??!,Reply ..no nobody...you've killed them all!!!,):eek: (my first try at smiles)Oh! I also rented Last of the Mohicans,..not a bad movie!!,don't know know that much about the 1700's but seemed it was on,LOL wanted to run out and buy a flint lock kentucky rifle!take it easy guy's
