Khukri handle variations?

I am really close to buying a khukri. I especially want one for heavy chopping and perhaps prying. So THICK! The only issue I have is the handles most of them have. Just personal preference. Can anyone point out quality khuks with a more modern handle? Thanks guys/gals.

Try Himalayin Imports website. If I remember correctly they offer some variants with non-traditional handles. They also come highly recommended. Another option is to modify the handle on an existing one. I've done that and been quite pleased with the results.

A few knifemakers can make you a new handle.

If you want to use it as a prybar too, you should go for a Chiruwa khukuri
(chiruwa = full tang)
