Khukri house, anybodu have experience with those???

Never heard of em.

Why not go ask the Busse guys for their opinion of Chris Reeve knives? Um, because that would be inappropriate.:foot:

HI makes a fine khukri, I know that much.

You got that right.
(You're pretty smart. :D )

boki_zca, the question might go over better in the General Knife Discussion. This isn't a general khukuri forum, it's a manufacturer-specific forum.

Good idea:)

In the interest of being fair and unbiased, I think the folks in General would be able to answer your question better. Most folks that frequent the HI forum have made up their mind already;)

Personally, I have handled one or two. They were OK, but HI's service is second to none and their product's fit and finish tends to be better than KH's. Plus, some of the greatest guys and gals I have ever had the privilege to call "friend" I have met both directly and indirectly through my dealings with Uncle Bill and Yangdu over the years. HI's fantastic product and stellar Karma weave a web that I am happily hopelessly entangled within:thumbup:

I had a few KH blades. They were decent, serviceable knives, but I prefer Himalayan Imports khukuris. I had a KH WWII that felt wonderful in hand, but the heat treatment was off and it would get dinged quite easily. I used it to tear down bookshelf once, and a big chunk came off the edge. On one of my blows the bolster broke and the rosewood handle split. It's a good thing I stopped and used my HI GRS to finish the job. The KHs look like good knives, but I'll stick to my HI blades for serious work.

Just drink the Kool-aid and buy HI.

Aside from a good khuk, you will be happy that part of your money actually makes it to the people who made it.

As someone who once wondered the same thing, I made my decision to purchase HI because there were just too many folks consistently praising them for me to gamble my money on a lesser known product.

I am now one of those who have contracted the Himalayan Imports Khukuri Virus. :D

im waiting on an HI sirupati khukri and the bighorka bowie right now. i cant wait to see how they look, feel, and work.
