First off this thing is massive yet is balanced ridiculously well so it feels much livelier in the hand than i had dreamed of. Plus since its basically a hand and a half short sword you can hold far forward for its intended fighting purpose and still be able to hold it far back for maximum chopping power.

Here's a pic before i go any further with a Condor Golok for scale

I am very impressed with this knife, its the most expensive knife ive ever bought and it was well worth it. I know there are a lot of people who tell horror stories about how KHHI is far inferior to HI and makes some rough blades but the Mukti and the tiny Biltong i got from them were well finished and not super rough. The only bad thing i can say it the back of the tang had a little bit of sharpness on it that was remedied in about 30 sec with a file, IMO not a big deal at all.

The downsides to it are the shipping time which took 5 weeks for me. I wasnt terribly impressed with the packaging either, its a small little box and the tip of the Mukti, which wasnt shipped in its sheath, was dinged but again 30 seconds with a file fixed it. Im not impressed with the sheath, but to be honest i have yet to see a traditional Kukri sheath that i have liked so i am terribly biased. I may get a custom thick leather sheath made for it so if anyone has some recommendations id like to hear them.

It arrived less sharp than i like but still is a chopping machine. Here's a pic of a half round of wood that i chopped in a single blow with the edge that was sent to me:

It also works suprisingly well on light branches for a nearly half inch think knife, a quick bit of extra sharpening and it out performs ever axe ive ever used and sadly some chainsaws though obviously with a lot more effort.

The handle is ginormous, like i said hand and a half as you can see in this pic in my hand:

And here's a pic of why it is so wonderfully balanced:

Even though its huge and fairly heavy the balance makes it feel like less in the hand than the Golok pictured. Ive been roaming the woods looking for things to chop and can say that this thing is utterly fantastic.

Images so tiny...

But nice review. I will take a look at that company and see what they have to offer that can match or exceed my HI CAK that I have next to me.

Sorry i dont know how to make the pictures bigger, photobucket rejected my bigger pics for some odd reason.

I couldn't agree with this review more. This Mukti is an absolute beast. There is currently a shortage of horn so my handle is made from wood.
