Just got back a while ago from the first ever "Central Texas Khukri Convention". But seriously, it was a pleasure and a privilege to get to meet Berkely and Pappy and thank them in person for their generosity and patriotism (four more Afghanistan bound troops now HI khukri equipped). We must have made quite a sight standing in the parking lot of the Dog & Duck Pub, khukris in hand and strange gleams in our eyes (a symptom of HIKV).
Once more I'd like to express my sincere appreciation to these fine gentlemen, to Uncle Bill, and to all the HI Khukuri family for their genuine concern, support, and generosity.

I kept an eye out for our fearless LEOs`as we stood in a beer joint parking lot in the shadow of the State Capital, playing with 20" knives where 5.5" is "Illegal"!

I had the privilege of being in the company of two of the finest gentlemen that I have met in person in a long time. Enjoyed a couple of brews some Khuks and good conversation (intelligent). If the forum is full of this type of people it is no wonder to me that it is growing and many browse and wonder why there are so many posts.

I tried to help some folks that are going to a nasty place, and wound up being gifted myself. I am now the proud owner of one of the most beautiful mini Khuks that I could imagine. As the Sarge said in one of his posts. "Paper cutter indeed". This is the only neck knife of it's kind in many counties in central Texas, and I will cherish it for the rest of my days. I may give away many knives before I die,but this will be the last to go. It is also hard for me to beleive that this beautiful little knife is sold for only ten dollars. Who was it had the idea of getting 6 or 8 of these to make a set of steak knives? Heck of an idea.

So, what else can I say but, Sgt Sikes, Mr. Berkley B, Thank you gentlemen for a very enjoyable afternoon. I'll not likely forget it, ever. If my spelling is messed up please forgive.
:) ;) :D

Ha Ha Ha!!!! I can just picture that!!!!:D :)

I noticed that some of the customers of the pub that were leaving, didn't crowd us very much. I guess we behaved well enough that no one called the law.:D

They probably thought you were the law, Pappy.

The things we end up cherishing...I have a .41 from a late friend, and his watch. My father's rusty .22.... not my most expensive tools, just the ones that cost me the most.
