I think I know how Mohd feels! My fingers are crossed for you Mohd! Hey Mohd, I once flew from Penang to Singapore in a light aircraft. It was the most beautiful and memorable of experiences. What a great place to live...

Monday! A Blue Monday ... !

Bro Rusty --- here is another Rabindranath Tagore's ...
The night is black and the forest has no end;
a million people thread it in a million ways.
We have trysts to keep in the darkness, but where
or with whom- of that we are unaware.
But we have this faith - that a lifetime's bliss
will appear any minute, with a smile upon its lips.
Scents, touches, sounds, snatches of songs
brush us, pass us, give us delightful shocks.
Then peradventure there's a flash of lightning:
whomever I see that instant I fall in love with.
I call that person and cry: `This life is blest!
For your sake such miles have I traversed!'
All those others who come close and moved off
in the darkness - I dont know if they exist or not.
Pakcik Bill ---

NEPAL HO!

For you Tagore fans, here's one of my favorites from Gitanjali.
**********************************

The day was when I did not keep myself in readiness for thee; and entering my heart unbidden even as one of the common crowd, unknown to me, my king, thou didst press the signet of eternity upon many a fleeting moment of my life.

And today when by chance I light upon them and see thy signature, I find they have lain scattered in the dust mixed with the memory of joys and sorrows of my trivial days forgotten.

Thou didst not turn in contempt from my childish play among dust, and the steps that I heard in my playroom are the same that are echoing from star to star.

Still pacing ...
Harun al-Rashid [the caliph] gave the order, "Bring this Layla, so I might see why Majnun--out of love for her-- has cast such passion into the world and why from the East to the West lovers have made the story of his love their mirror."

They went to great expense, employed much trickery, and succeeded in bringing Layla to the caliph. She was in a private chamber; at night the caliph would light candles, gaze at her for a while, and then reflect for a while. [But he could not see what was so special about her.] He said to himself, "If I get her to speak, perhaps her special quality will become more apparent in her face, by means of her speaking." He turned to Layla and asked, "Layla, is that you?" She replied, "Yes, I am Layla. But you are not Majnun. Those eyes that are in Majnun's head are not in yours."
Pakcik Bill, Bros & Cuzs --- Layla & Majnun is the Islamic version of Romeo & Juliet ...

Now I dunno which one is sweeter ... the HIKV or The Khukuri Blues!

What I mean by Khukuri Blues is when ...
  • You have the unlimited desire to have more Khuks! and ...
  • You dunno when your Khuks will be ready! and ...
  • When they were ready --- you dunno when they will reach your hometown! and ...
  • When they reached your hometown --- you dunno whether you can collect it or not!
It is full of uncertainty ... you can only make efforts & you start hoping ... whishing ... dreaming ... !

Dear forumites --- please do pray for me! --- my 4 Khuks already reach KLIA but they were not released by Custom people --- now I have to go up & down to get them released! please do pray for me ...

I feel your pain Bro.!!!

It seems that the US Customs has a shipment of folders in custody here.
Everyone is waiting to see what happens. If customs doesn't release them there could be far reaching ramifications throughout the knife industry.
Dayumed poloticians anyway!!!

Pakcik Bill --- In the other thread you asked ...
Did you get your khukuris yet, Mohd?

Pakcik Bill ... the answer is maa-syaa-Alaah! ... not yet!

Insyaa-Allaah! I contacted a friend who knows somebody at KLIA ... he has contacted him and he asked me to write letter requesting for clearance on the basis of personal collection as the reason of those Khukuris purchase ... nothing other than that --- he asked me to inform him the day I am going to claim that parcel --- but I have to delay it because I want to wait for the arrival of 25" Chainpuri so that I can claim it together!

There is a hope ... but ... I badly in need of your pray for Allah's help!
