Suffering from insomnia i was Floating around the H.I. Forums and decided to finally re- read the U.B. Memorial thread in its entirety including all links etc... (I still came away feeling Humbled and at a loss, could think of nothing more to say that hadnt been already expressed)... and happened to run across the Nepal Distilleries link and in the Downloads section i found a nice little khukuri cursor. I Installed it and though it takes a little getting used to i find it kinda cool and amusing to roam around BF and chop on the topics i wanna read.

Which led me to be curious as to how many of you here have installed this little khuk and are doing the same? LOL.

Also, Last i had heard somewhere here, you could only get Coronation Khukri XXX Rum from Nepal, But Apparently there is an importer in P.A.
Has anyone gotten any from this importer? if so, How much was it?
I've been wanting to taste that stuff since i first saw a bottle, i bet it makes for some fine drinking.
 
Youre very welcome guys! everyone here has edumacated me pretty well on khuk's and answered all my questions no matter how dumb, I love the H.I. forum and it's people cuz youre the friendliest forum here and i appreciate it. I wish i could do more.....maybe there will be a time that i can and i look forward to it.

Hopefully I'll get a line on gettin' me some o' that khukri Rum and i'll let you all know when i do. Then we can have a toast to Uncle,Rusty,Namaarie.... Yangdu... all our friends who've come and gone...and those fine folk we have yet to know.

What are the chances this could be stickied.....So at least we dont have to look up the cursor?

This reminds me of the Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife cursor I made for my computer back in the Windows 3.1 days.

I have always enjoyed my insomnia, Karda, It is the time when I do my best work and have the most clarity:)
I really like your posts, they are fun and informative, especially the last few relating to reading up on the archives and khuk comparisons:thumbup:
I sure would like to try that rum, ever since I first saw the cool bottles.

To think I used that up to early 1999! :eek:

This thread makes me wonder if it's just as easy to make custom cursors for Windows and OSX these days. We might be on the cusp of a knife-related cursor epidemic!

Same here about the Insomnia....
It's what gives me the Insomnia that really bothers me, The Nightmares, and that it makes my Decrepitance all that more painful. Hard to type when your arm/s doesnt do what you want it to. That and the worn out feeling which leads to me being grumpy sometimes and Depressed. It sure makes you appreciate some things a bit more. Glad to know i have contributed to this friendly community in some small way, And Thank you for telling me so.

PS: Sounds like You and My Lady may have similar ailments... Hers' was caused by an MVA, and She is left with Pain and loss of motor control in Her left arm and hand...

Karda, it may not be quite what you have in mind but how about adding the link to the "ddean's" "Tips, Tricks, & Useful Finds(FAQs too)" thread in the HI Forum proper? When there gets to be a lot of stickies it gets to be a chore to find where the real threads begin. :grumpy:

:oI was lookin at the 12/7 DOTD and almost sent Yangdu an email asking about the teeny tiny khuk. Then remembered it was my cursor.
