I can understand a standard-construction modern khukuri being considered a Production knife, even when signed by its maker, but this WWII vintage knife was obviously a specially made piece with a rarely seen (according to Daniel Koster) integral guard and ivory-over-buffalo horn custom handles.
My question is: At this point in time, who can determine that this was not a custom-made piece? And if it can't be determined definitively, why isn't the decision left to the discretion of the seller?
