Khukuri handle Scales?

To those who own chiruwa or panawal khukuris (CAKs, M43s, Bonecutters, etc): how thick are the scales on the handle?

I'm getting ready to send some wood to HI, and it would be nice to know if a given piece is big enough for a couple of scales.

On my 15" Bonecutter, the scales are (a their thickest, and rounded up slightly) approx. 4.6"L x 2.7"W x 1.5"thick (overall, each scale looks to be about .75" a the widest)
Hope this helps!

I would send a couple of good-sized/oversized blocks to give the kami plenty of working room.

I have a big Chiruwa Chitlangi and the handle scales are 3/4" thick near the pommel cap.

Remember with chiruwa handles, the tang tends to become thinner as it approaches the pommel cap.

That's about what I expected, and it doesn't look like I have anything in that size. Some of my pieces might do for a smaller item, though.

Thanks to all.
