If any one has ever seen the movies Big trouble in little China or Austin Powers the spy who shagged me you may have noticed that the 3 "gods" in BTILC have a khukuri with a lion head on the bottom of the handle. same in austin powers 2. I have no clue how old mine is or if it's a replica. i will scan some pics and post them ASAP.

Pictures are worth a thousand words. Where did you get the knife? How long have you had it? Things like this help the real experts tell about the knife. Granted if you are looking for a new knife you have stopped at the right place. Uncle Bill has the finest Khukris made today. There is not a better khukri than an HI khukri. Bar none.

I recived the knife about a year ago from my grandfather. He had it sitting in his repair shop long enough for the part of the blade not in the case to rust. Black leather case with a line pattern pressed into it. The blade has dots hammered in a pattern on one side with the word inda on it. The handle has a lions head on the bottom of the butt. It has an open cho with no protuberance. the closest thing i could find to it was at: http://www.vikingsword.com/ethsword/khukuri/khukuri1.html It's the fourth picture down.
The handle and case has none of the bronze (gold?) pattern on it. Seems to have the same lions head on the butt though.
Blade shape seems to be the same. But like you said a picture is worth a thousand words so i guess i have to find a scanner.

2/18/2000 - MikeyB, the link you gave was to a khukuri in the JP collection, and I teased that the floor was his. Check out the thread " The kamis and sarkis send a message to us all " and the third or fourth response on page 2 dated 02/17/2000 11:31 PM and you'lee see it was made by John Powell. Yes, that's who the JP collection belongs to. Post pics and you'll hear from him I'm sure. Welcome. Rusty

Let's not forget "Bram Stoker's Dracula", kukris and guns were used a lot.

Pamela Lee threw a kukri by it's blade and held parallel to the bad guy from 8 ft behind on her show "VIP". Cheesy enough that when she coc..brought up the knife you could see the rubber replica wiggle.
