OK Everybody,
I guess it's time to start a sign-up list of those of us who are too cheap or short on cash to sign up for room share at a cheap spot on the old strip. So we can lock in a price and location. If ya quit foolin' around and sign up I'll take the time to get us a location lined up.

Dan,

I'll be bringing my family, so I don't want to share a room. I am interested in knowing other low-cost lodging options though. Please keep me in the loop.

Dan,
Thanks for doing the leg work on this. There is a good listing from the Reno Chamber of Commerce available.

Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on the Konvention. I will, however, be with you in spirit. Later this year, will be visiting with Uncle Bill and may even get a chance to see some of the forumites who live in Nevada such as Rusty and Vampire Gerbil.

Don't know if it's still there, but there was an old Basque hotel down the old hiway. Might check it out. These were the cultural centers for the sheepherders. You got brought over by the family, they put your stuff in storage there, came back from the hills and stayed in a room between jobs til aunt Milly fixed you up with your 4th cousin twice removed, saucy little Tilly, got married there, goth buried there.....

And good food. Hotel rooms a hundred years old and cramped, but the family style dining. Not a hotel anymore, but Louis' Basque corner restaurant.
