I guess everybody knows by now that we are planning a get together here in Reno the last weekend in August -- a sort of show and tell khukuri session. In order to give our major organizer, John Powell, some help in planning please sign up here if you are reasonably sure that you will be attending. Of course, there are no strings and this is for planning purposes only but we need an idea of how many will be here --10, 50, 100?

As I said before, I've got some vacation time blocked out around that weekend. So I WILL be there in Reno that weekend, unless I happen to fall of the edge of the earth in the mean time. The Flat Earth Society will not go away......maybe

We are planning on being there, unless one of these Oklahoma tornadoes happen to blow us away. I guess we could catch a ride on the tail of a twister ( it would cut down on travel expenses, wouldn't it?) Ha! ha!

John, had a couple of guys who lurk but don't post email me saying they plan to attend so add three or four numbers to what you see posted here.

Trying to schedule vacations where I work is like trying to herd cats.

Nevertheless, Jim Hawxhurst and clan will be putting forth the old college try.

Will there be a sharpening clinic for the hone impaired?

Also, I can provide transportation from Phoenix to Reno for at least two or three people.

I'm bringing a couple of packs of smokes, some safety pins and some string. We'll free-hang 'em and see who can cut one in half with ANY blade

Funny stuff.

I still have not beat the habit. Want to smoke everyday. I wonder if this is something I'll have to face the rest of my life.

We'll make a list of attendees soon and add to it as required.

Much as I'd like to attend, I can't make it. My wife is scheduled to deliver our first child in that time frame, and I doubt she'd be too understanding of my absence. Go figure.
