Khukuri "not tactical"?

More unitended humor.

At another forum here, a poster has asserted that a flat-ground CS kukri-like object is more suitable for "tactical" use than an HI khukuri (although well enough for work around camp). Funny how the Ghurkas know so little about "tactical" use of blades. Uncle, maybe there are sales in painting a few black -- for night ops. :D

Do you have the link to the post, Thomas? Sounds like this expert needs to do a bit of research! :D

When are people going to realize tactical is not an object or action but a mindset.

What? I can't buy me a box of tactical?!
I've been using this WD-40 Tactical deodorant spray I got on ebay hoping that I'd at least SMELL tactical, but so far it just stings and keeps my arms lubed for quick presentation. :confused:

I say we replace the word "tactical" whenever we find it with the word "killin'."
(Or some other white trashy words that really get the media and bad politicians excited)

Tactical shotgun - Killin' Shot Blaster
Tactical Folder - Flick-knife for killin'
Tactical Goggles - Killin' Blood Spray Glasses
Tactical Vest - Grenade and Extry bullet holdin' jacket

You can also replace the word "tactical" with "low carb" and it pretty much means the same thing: "Please buy this mindlessly".

I know some folks on the tactical diet. My respect for them has grown immensely. :) They used to be on some unhealthy diet but now they're hardcore.

The whole tactical thing gives me the chuckles. I mean I can see the millitary, SWAT, etc needing tactical tools and weapons. Low profile, easy access weapons just might be the difference between heading off a bad situation and ending up in a body bag. However, i can see the coolness factor that collectors go for in smooth black finishes and silky one-handed openers. I'm not arguing with that. Hey, I own 14 HI products, but only need one or two. Their just so dang cool:) Its just these guys that everything in their house has to be tactical. Low profile, jet black or brushed stainless, and good for poking holes in people with the flick of a wrist. Bobwhite is right, IMHO, tactical is a mindset. There is a difference between collecting, using, and likeing the sleak one-handers, but some of these guys are the types that duct tape a tactical knife behind the toilet just in case some one "gets the drop on them" while they're poopin'. I mean com'on. is a knife duct taped behind your butt actually going to save your life if you sitting down with your pants around your ankles? :)

I TRAIN on the crapper specifically for that situation.
I'm working on my tactical kevlar toilet paper with a springloaded spike hidden in the tube, and making more of the everpopular tactical kydex donut holster.

All the previous posts here likely true......
In addition;
Mayhaps some people have only seen the bigger HI blades,
and don't 'get' that a 15" siru is just as small(er) / quick(er)
as(than) the CS model;
If that's what one wants.

now I know ur teasin'.....see, 'cuz kevlar don't take **** from nobody....:rolleyes: *groan*

It must be a kydex thing....maybe if we had a few made with kydex, multi-loop sheaths.....

I like the imagery I get imagining a Gurkha about ready to take an enemy down...pulls out his home-grown kukri.....then tosses it aside because of its shiny blade.....:footinmou

Talk about tactical
I carry a gun to the bathroom after I eat my wifes Chili in case I crap a bear and have to shoot my way out.

If I taped a knife to the toilet it would be just cut the s--t to use an old Southern phrase

Kinda like John Wayne toilet paper........

Don't take any $hit off ndns...:rolleyes: ;) :D

I had a "tactical" khuk, with a desanguinatin' blood groove (to keep the blood spatter down when desanguinatin' commies), and painted it all camo colors so it would be a truly "tactical" killin' machine, but I dropped it in the backyard with all them green and brown bushes and now I can't find the damn thing!

Oh, well. Guess I'll have to use one of them lame shiny HI non-tactical models. (Sigh!) ;)

Being former military, I feel I must inform all of you that 100 MPH tape is used to tape a tactical knife to the toilet, not duct tape.
