khukuri

Himalayan Imports are all good quality...the best in the world in my opinion. Many types are available and some are better for certain tasks. What do you intend to use it for?

Sorry I can't help you buy one...I'm broke.

HI, Butchie; it would help if we knew what you wanted to use it for, as there are many different models. I'd think a BAS would be nice.

I second the BAS. It was my first khukuri and I still find myself using it frequently. It's a handy size and weight and works great for light to medium duty chopping.

Please keep in mind that I'm a khuk amateur compared to a lot of these guys!

I like answering here...sounds like Tom said...maybe an Indian military model.

The cho is on the edge side...regardless of how you grip it.

And my favorite H.I. khukuri is the 15 inch A.K., villager or er... ?urban?, er...conventional model.

Go to the Khukuri dynamics link at the top of this forum, done some years ago by Dan Koster, when he had access to a CAD machine. It gives you a less distracting evaluation of the various models.

Welcome.
