Hey guys!

I currently have 2 khukris. One from Ghurka House picked up locally in Richmond, VA...and one Ang Khola I purchased a few years back from HI. The HI is the nicest weapon in my collection. I love the thing and quite frankly want more!

I am currently teaching my students kali and other weapon techniques. I have a few filed down (Made in Pakistan) Khukuris that we use for practice, but I was wondering if anyone can recommend a nice double set of Khuks that could be used with escrima-type techniques?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also, just for full disclosure, if something can be recommended I will need some time to save up money to get them. (First I have to convince my wife....then I have to save the money.) :D

Thanks in advance!

WWII and BAS are military models. But I think the WWII would be a little big.

My pick would be a BAS, they are made in various sizes, from 9 to 15" OAL.

Maybe a little heavier than "fast blades", but I like my training weapons/whatever heavier.

Kobra, Kobra, Kobra... unless you're of the Cybrok school of thought on having weightier training equipment.

But if I was in some kind of godawful knife fight, a long Kobra would probably be my pick. Maximum distance and minimum weight= less chance of a dead me.

Ed,
What you want for Kali is something fast & a little more pointy..15"Siripati would be ideal...ideal for enough distance & great when you close the gap & trap...not to long to become unweldly...not to short! ANY Kuk can be made to work! A EXCELLENT one would be the UB Special Siripati!Just my opinion...
Enjoy whichever HI you get...you will wind up getting more.
THE DUCK!
