So i am planning to buy 2 khukuris from nepal...and i am down to 2 dealers....thekhukurihouse.com and khukuriblades.com.

anyone have any experience with them? which one has better quality products?

thanks!

Khukuriblades.com is part of Khukuri House Thamel Ltd., which is part of the KHHI family of houses (Khukuri House Handicraft Industries). If you want a high quality khukuri that comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, check out Himalayan Imports in the manufacturers section here at BFc.

Khukuri house is a good choice, i just got a khukuri from them and i can say that the build quality is good, not completely hand made though (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150725662665134.714959.522440133&l=c6640bb158&type=1). "Dui Chirra" or twin fullered blade with a full tang right up to the hilt, it has a 12" unpolished, heat treated blade. The handle is riveted and is made of rose wood. The scabbard is made of hardened wood covered with Buffalo hide with space for "Chakmak" and "karda". Blade weight - 850 gms. The blade is water tapered.

My suggestion, go for it.

I have 3 from HI and 2 from kukri house. I think the ones from HI (foxy folly , m43 and 10" blade ang kola are nicer in many ways. I have an Iraq or afghanistan model that is a little crude ( wire brushed finish but tang thru, real strong) but nice, and a 15" sirupate that looks really nice but the handle is short. If you have normal hands Hi is the better choice. the handles have the correct size (and better polish). Shipping is the problem. I would try looking at the HI page here on the forums, they have blems that are very nice at a great savings. Their blems are like kukri house regular kuks.he M43 is a beast! The Foxy Follly looks to be more a fighting knife with its relatively thin blade, Sorry bout the rambling.
