Khurki House Mukti massive chopper

What is that?
What is it's purpose?
It looks like something out of Budk. Even if I hadn't heard negative things about KH, I wouldn't consider that.

It appears to be a knife so my guess is its purpose is to cut things and since its fairly heavy id say it was more for chopping. I could be wrong though, it could be a toaster.
 
Holy crap that thing is pretty! :) 12mm thick! A kukri the shape of a cleaver mixed with bowie. I thought my kukri was thick with it's 10mm at the base, 7 at the bending.

I started to laugh but then I thought to myself, "It's gotta be around 2.5-3" wide. You could fricking toast bread over a fire with it.".

I wonder what else it might be?

Pancake griddle?
Really scary pry-bar?
Mastodon meat cleaver?

Thanks for posting this as i havent dealt with KH at all. I will say that most people say that horn cracks regardless and with heavy chopping much more so, if i order the Mukti i was going to ask if they could do wood for me.

The fit and finish means a lot less to me than most because i use and abuse anything chopper like, but yours were pretty dang rough. Keep us posted.
 
So i finally got mine, ill update with some pics and such shortly but my first impression is this thing is remarkably well balanced and far easier to use then i had hoped, i can definetly see it used as a fighting knife that chops than as a chopper only.
