Well, I am currently out of the country, but my best friend has informed me that the khurkuries I ordered (18 inch AK and Bura Movie Model) have arrived and that I'm going to be disappointed....

.....in all the other new stuff that's waiting for me, once I compare them to my HI models! ;)

On one hand, this is unsettling, since I have some other knives I've been looking forward to--and I hate to think they won't get the pampering they deserve because I'll be too busy playing with my bent ones. On the other hand, the bent knives are heavy, so when I get tired out I'll probably be able to devote some attention elsewhere.

My friend is a fellow knife knut, and he knows what I like, so I trust his assessment completely. I'm just not sure I trust him to give them to me on my return...

Anyway, just wanted to say "Thanks, Uncle Bill!" and let you know that they've arrived safely. I doubt you've seen the last of me--or my checkbook. :)

Naw... you'll still have use for your smaller knives for awhile. If not, you can send em' to me. :D Even better, send me your HI stuff... ;)

Naw... the duck threatens to come and forcefully obtain khukuris. I'm offering to keep his khukuries for an indefinite period of time so he can enjoy his other stuff. :) This is a service I'm offering to the general public. I'll even go halvesies for shipping. :D

Thanks Bruise,

It's good to know there's someone I can count on. Now, on the flip side, if I my friend confiscates my HI stuff, you'll hook me up, right? :)

T1mpani, I just took several khuks and gave them as presents to some young men who had graduated from Army Ranger School. Two of the boys were from A&M. They loved the blades as I'm sure you will. GIG 'EM!

Ben

Ben,

Ranger school, huh? You don't happen to recall either name do you? I wouldn't be surprised if I knew them.

I'm sure they said it, but I'll say thanks again on their behalf. The Army won't issue us anything this good!

Gig 'em,
Warren

Warren, I happen to recall one of the names right off the top of my head...he's my son. :D His name is Justin and he was in Company A-1. Are you in the Corps and if you are, did you know him?

Hee ehe.. T1mpani had me going fer a sec. Just a sec, tho, and not a millisecond more or less. I'd say I own maybe one blade that is not put to shame by HI products, and it is also a handforged blade.

Keith

Ben,

Yes, I knew Justin Tice. I was (believe it or not) in Company B-1! Next time you talk to him, ask him if he remembers Warren Higgins.
:)

Warren, I will do that. He called yesterday from New Orleans before I read this post. I sent you an email with some details.

Ben

Keith, being in your 30's is still young. And who would have thought that I would run into someone here on the forum who went to school with my son. Is this forum special or what?

Ben

This forum us indeed a special place for us. The humor daily, the magical several times a week and the miraculous when we least expect us.

Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.

( Where there is charity and love, there is God. )

Post # 5990. Ten more then I'll shut up for a while
