I'd been saving this piece of textured kydex for 5 years or so, waiting for the right thing to make from it. (this texture is next to impossible to find)

So I gave my ASH-LE some new, Kick ASH pants !

1/8th" thick, t utilizes a TekLok that is reversible for left or right side carry. It can carry it vertical or cross-draw. The thumb screws allow me to change the carry afield without any tools, should that become necessary.

Since this is the only knife that will be carried in it, the sheath does not have adjustable tension. The amount I set into it is, dare I say......perfect !

Sorry for the pic quality. I did some editing on them, but for some reason, it didn't take.......:(

Looks nice brother. How difficult was it to make pants for your knife? I have seriously been entertaining the thought of making some pants for my Busse NIP, SD, and a few other Rats and Dogs I have. However, Im more into the leather pants than Kydex.

Smartly designed, Dave. Definitely try to get us some better pics. I can't quite make out that texturing.

It's not rocket science, but there are a few tricks that help......and not everyone, including many that makes sheaths for money, know those tricks !!

Recon, check the new sheath forum as well. I bet you can ask questions and get LOADS of help there, too.

here's a pic of the just received ETS knife.......I'd forgotten that it had magnums ! It shows the texture a bit better than the pic above.

I've been wondering why you never see textured Kydex... I really like the look -- nice work bro!

Mainly because it costs more.

I don't know why they stopped the camo, as it looked pretty snazzy. I was told they ground up all they had so they could reuse it. :(

Here is a close-up of the texture............it reminds me of elephant hide......

A couple pictures of my standard NUCLEAR! sheath for the ASH-LE

Of course, it has removable hardware, allowing you to thoroughly clean out the interior of the sheath.

The next one shows the back. It has a solid loop that is not only attached to the body of the sheath via the hardware, but it's welded in place, also. The belt channel is wide on purpose. This allows you to wear it cross-draw. If you choose to go strong side, it allows you to move the knife/sheath upward when you want to sit down, so the tip of the knife/sheath doesn't dig into whatever it is you're sitting on. The integral thumbramp prevents the sheath from riding up the full distance of the belt channel and also avoids giving yourself wedgies during withdrawal.

This next one shows the attention to detail, such as polished edges, as well as the adjustable tension setup I first did in 1996.
