Just thought I'd show this to you guys, because I saw them in my album a minute ago and smiled at the memory.

This is Luthor, my nephew, and his very first khuk. It's actually a khuk-shaped letter opener I picked up for him in Kuwait, but it's a start.

And for the record, it's about as sharp as a brick. (My mom freaked when I showed her this, thought I gave him a razor sharp blade or something.)

Voodoo Luthor is sure a cute little man and you're one heckuva uncle to give him his first khuk no matter if it's no sharper than a brick!  :D
Get him started early and he'll be on here in just a few short years talking with other knife knuts all ages just like us! :)

Great pic! Being an uncle is fun!

A young shark is introduced to his prey - a day worthy of remembrance. You're a good uncle. (Nice pics, too.)

A few years from now, he'll log onto the Cantina and someone will start a new thread: "When did you get your first knife?"

And he can resurrect this thread to answer the question! :D

Wonderful Pic! Years ago, before Bill walked west, I sent him a picture of my newborn daughter with a kagnes katne (sp?) letter opener-type khukuri - on the first day she was born. The picture made it all the way to Nepal to the kami's and as far as I know, still hangs in their shop.
